Saturday night I was walking up Union Street from 4th Avenue to Grand Army Plaza, and I saw not one, not two, but five women sporting their own renditions of the Katie Cut.
FIVE!!! In only five blocks!!!Â
I can’t fathom what the rest of Park Slope is succumbing to.
None of these renditions looked good, none! Nothing was wrong physically at glance with any of these five women, except for their really flat out awful butchered haircuts.Â
This is what I was trying to avoid with my week devoted to the dangers of the Katie Holmes’ short hairstyle – the Katie Cut.
I was able to catch one of these Katie Cut’s with my camera, take a look for yourself.
That ladies haircut right there was and still is one sorry sight for my sore eyes indeed.
Seeing these women walking around with their butchered heads of hair makes me hope that we can collectively as a whole nip this bad haircut sensation in the bud, by plastering flyer’s of the now infamous Katie Cut photo in the window of all hairdressers everywhere, with “We Will Not Give You This Hairstyle” above the photo. Feel free to print out this post and drop it off in your local hairdressers window.
WE WILL NOT GIVE YOU THIS HAIRSTYLE!!!

you are probably a fat, ugly idiot who envys all the pretty girls who have long hair and nver go for a change and will in fact look good w/ short hair… or maybe your self esteem is so low that you can’t allow for anything newn to happen to u ,”it will cause attention”…. and no, i did not get a haircut

I don’t really care what she does with her hair but I am looking for a cute short cut because I am going to cut my long hair off and donate it to locks of love. Lots of people have done it and now have short hair cuts Diane Lang, Ann Curry. Just because Katie had cut her hair doesn’t mean that all the women who cut their hair are inspired by her. It does look very cute though and I am glad that short hair is back in style.
I think all these ladies had short hair before Katie cut hers. You’re just noticing it more b/c you’ve fixated on it. It’s just like when you buy a particular make/model car….say a jeep wrangler. Prior to buying it, you probably never noticed how ubiquitous they were, then after you get it…they’re like bu**holes….everyone has them.
I like her new cut. I think it really suits her. I’m even thinking about getting a hair cut sort of like this.Also I think that we all judge her too quickly including me. So,let’s stop judging her.
I think the woman w/ the short bob haircut (as seen in the pic u took) looks just fine to me, the bob has been around for a lot longer than Katie Holmes has been alive.
I do think that short hair “bobs” do tend to flatter woman who have more slender frames, as compared to women who have some chubbiness (non-slender women that is). I’m 5’10″ and am slim, and the bob looks best on me, even moreso cause my hair is medium fine & super straight, its like the only hair length that gives constant fullness.
When I was pregnant and “big”, I would never rock short hair, I even got extensions to make me feel less big.
