While reading page 211 of my friend Janice’s new book, Have You Found Her, I read about a game that she and her friend SamÂplayed.
I’m not quite sure what the exact game was, but the question that came up was “Would you rather have to kill Winnie the Pooh, or Bambi?”
I wish that I had thought up such a question. It’s such a double edged sword of question, that I just love it.
There’s plenty of room to reason why you would be in such a situation that you would have to kill one of them, whether it be to save your own life, for food and water, a dare, whatever.
Winnie the Pooh? I could never kill him. Pooh is a mentally developed animal, he’s too lovable, soft spoken, and kind – he’s a one of a kind. Bambi on the other hand…
Bambi’s an undeveloped and stupid baby deer, a deer that’s probably carrying around all sorts of ticks full of nasty lyme disease – plus Bambi’s one of thousands of orphaned deer, and is not special.
So there you have it, if I’m ever put in the situation, Bambi would HAVE to go…are there any possible Pooh killers in the world? What could possibly make someone rather kill Pooh over Bambi? Anyone, I’d love to hear about it.
I would totally off Pooh in a heartbeat. I was always an Eeyore fan and resented that Pooh got all the publicity for basically being a fat, greedy layabout, especially as Eeyore just got more and more depressed and ultimately suicidal.
Wow! So Bambi wasn’t even part of the equation for you. I always found Eeyore to have had the depression as part of who he was, not necessarily caused by Pooh.
Well, I do think Bambi is far cuter, but fairly nonoffensive, so I let my loathing of Pooh take over. Also, I like conspiracy theories, even in my cartoons.
Experiment: write a conspiracy about the two, and see how long it takes before it’s linked up on “the unhived mind”
I have to say I would off Pooh for two reasons…
1. he is named after a gross bodily function
2. He has inspired a horible decorating and fashion trend. Have you ever seen a middle aged suburban mom in a Bambi t-shirt…I think not.
While pooh is a fat, lazy, and uneducated bastard, I’d still off Bambi. I freaking hate deer.

I do not know why you are writing rude things about sweet old cartoons…KILL? Do yo like cartoons nowadays more? Where everyone wants to kill somebody,and everyone dogs around? How can you say things like you said to Bambi? Or Winnie the Pooh, or Pocahontas, or …. I don’t understand you.

Heh. Interesting question. Btw, I’m the person from the RHCP discussion. I honestly don’t know why I’m still wandering around your site, I don’t. But since I’m here…I love these sort of question games.
Me personally? I’d kill off Bambi.
This is for a very practical reason – the most likely cause one would have to kill one of them would be FOOD. Pooh is a stuffed bear. Bambi is made of meat. And even if Pooh was an actual flesh bear, bear meat carries more parasites, on average, than deer and you can get toxoplasmosis from it. (Though to be fair, deer do carry the possibility of Wasting Disease) More than that…deer just plain taste better than bears. I have this on good authority from my father, who grew up in the hills and has eaten plenty of both.
Moreover…Beehive is right. Not only does Pooh have more of a personality and vocabulary (albeit badly misspelled) his death would probably drive poor Eeyore over the edge, not to mention traumatise poor Christopher Robin for live. Bambi though…eh, his forest friends would be used to each other dying. I mean, read the book! It’s so much more tragic and full of fear. Anyway, yeah. Bambi gets the axe.

Oh and in regards to all of you talking about how Beehive must hate cartoons…*just laughs*
if a HAD a choice i’d kill pooh, i just can’t think of a world without bambi, but then again why would anyone kill a cartoon
