One of the fastest ways to get around NYC is to take the subway system. In order to get through the various turnstiles you need to pay a fair which nine out of ten times will be done by way of a Metrocard swipe.

For whatever reasons there are, some people - despite having walked down flights of stairs knowing that they are going into the subway system - don’t have their Metrocard ready.
What do these people do?
They go directly to the turnstile and look through their bags and pockets for two minutes blocking any and all people from either entering or exiting the system - if only there were cattle prods that zapped people who stay in the turnstiles too long…we’d actually have open turnstiles.

I HATE those people.
Haha, I admit I’ve been one of those people on more than one occassion. Every time I do it, I wonder why - it’s stupid!
