Scrap Metal Monument

There’s a monument in Prospect Park in honor for a group of men who heroically put down their lives (and took as many as they could with them) so that George Washington and the rest of the Continental Army could flee the British during the Battle of Brooklyn.

The wording was displayed in copper that was yoinked for scrap metal.  Thankfully the copper turned green and the words are easy to still read.

The other side is still “up for grabs” by any and all a lowlife about.

Unfortunately the Godson isn’t watching over this monument, so my money is on the “M” from Maryland being the next to go.  Based on eyesight alone it appears as though it has the heaviest amount of copper.
