Donate Your Blood!

I had wanted to donate blood for several years and never got around to it.

Thankfully Girlfriend being the steady temptress of vampires that she is took me with her to her regular donation appointment (cause she’s an awesome maker and distributor of blood) and I finally got around to having a pint of blood plucked from my body.

Part of me had wanted to donate so that I could help someone who needs some extra pints for whatever reason, and another part of me had wanted to donate blood so that some of it could get removed from me, thereby giving more room for the blood left inside to flow about.

See, whenever I have had blood pulled from me for testing purposes I end up feeling really good, it’s almost as if there isn’t enough room in my body for all of the blood that I have pumping through it, so the removal of some blood frees up more space for the remaining to work better.

Now that I’ve finally had a full on pint pulled I know what it’s like.  After the initial nauseous feeling I had, I’ve ended up feeling more energetic and more alive from actually having the proper amount of space for my blood to flow through.

My blood is no longer constricted by the amount of overflow blood that was in there, my veins for once finally feel free!

  1. Good for you!

There’s a theory that giving blood actually strengthens your immune system, so you have that going for you too! Now don’t forget to do it again in 56 days :)
