I Hate NYC #33 Times Square

For most New Yorkers Times Square is probably the absolute very last place they would want to find themselves, ever!

This is because Times Square is a necessary evil.

The fact that it kindly passes through the traffic of Broadway and 7th Avenue is about the only thing that is good about it.

That one good fact aside Times Square attracts people from all over the world to be ”in the heart of downtown NYC” - which every single New Yorker knows is nowhere close to being “downtown”.  They come just so that they can walk as slowly as possible on the sidewalk 12 people across “fitting in” and trying to not look like a bunch of tourists.

On weekend nights the sidewalks flood with people to the point that the streets look like Mardi Gras, only without the boobies being flashed and with people having not even half as good a time.

Lastly, it is a major walking thoroughfare for people coming and going from the Port Authority bus terminal.  These people comprise your half retarded, toothless and inbred stepping off of buses from god knows where and the “lovely” people who chose to commute to NYC by way of NJ Transit - ugh!

Best course of action, avoid the Times Square area at all costs, even if it means moving to Connecticut just so that you have a Toys R Us that is used by consumers and not gawkers who flinch at everything that moves.
