In case you never heard of this…in order to build the Seventh Avenue subway line in Manhattan, the city had condemned lots of buildings so that they could be knocked down before the subway tunnels could be dug.

At the time of that these buildings were being condemned, some property owners disputed their property from getting condemned (and lost). One such relic of those times is the triangle pictured above.
From what I’ve heard the triangle was eventually sold to the cigar place that it sits directly outside of, and the geek in me cannot help but wonder what the tax is for such a triangle that is roughly 500 square inches – plus I wonder if the triangle will get restored or if it will one day be covered with cement.
(Yes, I’d kind of love to own this triangle)
