This winter has been fairly cold as compared to more recent past winters.
On a really frigid cold day when the temperature was a balmy 17 degrees F and quite windy, I decided to go for a walk which I later regretted halfway through, because I was a mile from home and had to still walk back.
Anyway, as I was walking, I spotted a pigeon sitting on top of a mailbox and it looked as cold and frozen as a big could be without being dead and frozen…
It was SO puffy and fluffed up trying to keep warm.
It was as if the pigeon had just watched The French Connection, and was waiting for someone in particular in to pass by and follow, only he didn’t have a cigarette to “blend in”.
I imagine that the residents of the building refer to the place where they pick up their mail as the poopbox, and not the mailbox.
