The building that houses Pete’s Restaurant down on Water Street is what one might call, indecisive…

When it was built, all of the plumbing was most likely in one room – so your bathroom and kitchen were one and the same room.
Somewhere along the line, the owner of the building decided to make changes to the apartments and most likely created a bathroom that was separate from the kitchen out of the original bathroom/kitchen combos.
I understand the logic of not wanting to poop and shower in the same room that you prepare your food, but what I don’t understand is the logic that went into creating the current facade of the building.
You have the original big windows for the bathroom on some, bricked up original bathroom windows with new bathroom windows two feet to the left on others, and yet another has a small bathroom window in the partially bricked up original bathroom window slot.
Since the outside is this crazy and intriguing, I would love to see how the apartments are situated on the inside.
