Rev Jen’s Live Nude Elf (Video)
by beehive on Apr.30, 2009, under Uncategorized
Rev Jen is a long time friend of the Beehive and it brings me great pleasure to let you know that she has a new book out. It’s called Live Nude Elf: The Sexperiments of Reverend Jen.
Live Nude Elf chronicles Reverend Jen’s two-year stint as sex columnist for nerve.com.
Here’s the trailer for the book. I urge everyone go out and buy the book for a great read or at the very least watch the video to find out where the G-Spot is.

Can Am Spyder Roadster

I spotted this Can Am Spyder Roadster on Court Street.

It’s a fairly neato adult tricycle.

Yet at the same time it is nowhere near as cool as the Shoe Cycle.
Ringling Bros. In Coney Island
by beehive on Apr.30, 2009, under Uncategorized
I might be just about the most shocked person on the planet right now over the fact that the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will actually be going to have their show in Coney Island this summer.

I thought for sure the talk was nothing but a publicity stunt by the local politicians, and I’m glad that it’s actually going to be the real deal.
Tickets went on sale today for Ringling’s 12 week/70 performance run of The Coney Island Boom A Ring.
The show opens on June 18th with a special opening-night “Salute To Coney Island” and runs through September 7.
These shows will be the first time in its 139-year history that Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will perform in Coney Island.
What’s even better than that is the fact that the circus will be in a giant tent (withA/C) between the boardwalk and Surf Avenue with the cross streets of 20th and 21st Streets. The site will also have a food court that will be accessible from the boardwalk and an Animal Open House so that all ticket holders can have the chance to see the beautiful and talented animals that are part of the show.
The show will be hosted by Justin Case and the show will feature an extreme crossbow demonstration by Martti Peltonen, illusions by master magician Joel Ward and the Urias globe of steel where motorcyclists orbit within inches of a each other and a female.
Bengal tigers, a Daschund dog act and Asian elephants are promised to be there as well.
Just like the MSG shows Ringling shows that we’re all accustomed to, The Coney Island Boom A Ring will have an all-access pre-show one hour before show time that allows audience members the chance to meet the performers and test out some skills of their own.
Basically this show is sounding as though it will be the real life version of Big Top Pee-wee that each and everyone of us has always wanted to be part of. FUN!!!
You have the choice of buying tickets from either Ringling or Ticketmaster and start out at just $10 a piece and range up to $65 for intimate Ringside seating.

Gowanus Canal
by beehive on Apr.30, 2009, under Uncategorized
Tuesday afternoon I decided to walk over the Gowanus Canal for the first time ever.
I remember the canal appeared disgusting to my eyes (and it is disgusting).

Yet from this quick snapshot I have here the canal looks oddly beautiful - oil/gas(?) tanks, scrap heap, Lowe’s, Manhattan bound traffic and all.
