This past weekend I had a first that might surprise some…it was the first time I have ever barbecued!
Seriously, I never did it before and at age 28 I had begun to think that cooking on a charcoal barbecue was becoming this mythical thing that I thought I would never do or experience for myself.
This first barbecue was a test barbecue for two and my overall experience with it…WAS AMAZING!
I don’t think that I ever felt so powerful or so in charge as I did when I was standing over the grill asking, “Do you think I should flip these?” and “When should the cheese go on?”
Yes, I was definitely the alpha male!
This was one of the final products…
Perhaps this whole breaking down the barbecue wall might one day get me to finally go to the mythical land that they call, Florida!
I can hardly wait for the annual BeehiveHairdresser Company picnic now.
Why are the coals on top of the grill? You cook on the grill and the coals go under it! Did you move the hot coals to cook your burger?!
