The view from Governors Island sure makes it appear as though the Statue of Liberty is riding the Staten Island Ferry.
Even Lady Liberty just wants to escape ‘the island.’

I wanted to let you know we’re having a party at the Water Taxi Beach on Gov Island Thursday, Oct 8 from 5:30 – 8 pm to honor our arts, programming and cultural partners.
