We’re big fans of Third Eye Blind and have been humming ‘Good Man’ from their third studio album ‘Out of the Vein’ for the last week or so.
We’re also terrible at understanding lyrics for the most – seriously, back in 1998 we’d been singing “Easy Enough For You” for months before realizing that the words (and title of the song) were “Losing A Whole Year.”
Given our terrible record of hearing and understanding lyrics, the song probably doesn’t actually have the literal meaning or any meaning that is even remotely close to the meaning that we gave it – but hey, we love the song and hold it in our hearts as being a wonderful song with good meaning.
There’s an interesting wine bar that opened up in Fort Hamilton (although some will insist Bay Ridge), Brooklyn called Piattini Ristorante.

Aside from apparently lifting the name off of a West Coast chain it looks pretty good for this neck of Brooklyn and we’d really like to check the place out as long as it isn’t filled with techno music and overly tanned from the salon orange skinned guidos which reeksup far too many local establishments with too much cologne and cheesiness when not doing the same in the Meatpacking District – seriously, does techno have to go with everything in Bay Ridge/Fort Hamilton?
Anyway, the real thing that caught our eye was this sultry ice cream poster in the window.

Not sure what’s going on there, but it did catch our attention so if that’s what they were going for they won us over big time - should they actually be trying to promote ice cream (or lipstick) via this photo they should seek help immediately.
We’d really like to win an award for this here blog so that we can forever say, “Award Winning Blog BeehiveHairdresser!” and we haven’t really been pushing for votes other than having a widget on the right hand side of the page here —>
Yes, it’s a little silly and yet here we are tied for first place and totally wanting to win.
So, if you have 60 seconds of time to click on the box below, sign up and vote for BeehiveHairdresser.com to win “Freakiest Blogger” we’d really appreciate it.
And if you could email this to a friend or post this on your favorite message board and have them vote too, that would be great – just remember to tell them that every vote for BeehiveHairdresser.com saves a leprechaun from cutting off the horns that stick out of unicorns (unicorn horns are a delicacy on the other side of the rainbow).
I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with one of the funniest people on the planet, the Queen of Mean herself, Lisa Lampanelli to talk about her memoir and had a ton of laughs.
Her memoir ’Chocolate, Please’ is out in stores today.
