Bay Ridge Crack Houses Turn Into Gems

We passed the site of the old Bay Ridge crack house, where workers have been busy for the past year, building three beautiful new two-family houses

While more work is still needed on the interior, the facade appears to be complete, and we need to tip our hats to the owner(s) and developer(s) of the buildings.  They managed to build three houses to be both beautiful, and within scale, of the existing neighborhood.  Even better, they even put in three sweet new front yard gardens, and there are no out of place, ugly Fedders’ units to be seen.

Perhaps other developers in Brooklyn will now realize that they too can in fact make money by building homes that are within the scale of an existing neighborhood, that they can indeed put in front yard gardens, and that new buildings do not need to be big, boxy, glassed up, Feddered up, pieces of crumbling junk in order to turn a profit.

  1. Wow those look really nice, and its awesome to see that they have replaced the decrepit crack houses that once stood on that space. I am sure the neighbors are happier now as well.
