We aren’t sure why people do the things that they do in life. For instance, why in the world would someone desecrate a perfectly good red velvet cupcake?

Yesterday, we found this red velvet cupcake crushed like this against a red brick wall opposite the Kentile sign along 9th Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

It looks as though the poor thing was shot out of a cannon to its doom!

This appears to be the work of a man (or woman) who simply hates the grossly over-hyping of cupcakes, particularly cupcakes of red velvet origin. Or it could be the work of twisted youth, who have too much time on their hands and are hyped up on the sugar of one cupcake too many?
Either way, it’s clear that Brooklyn has a cupcake killer on the loose. Be careful out there!
