While strolling along Houston Street, we came across the remnants of a Hurricane Sandy victim, as well as the art project of remembrance of said victim. Victim being an old tree.

“Dear Hurricane Sandy,
We understand you were mad so you flooded our city and knocked down our homes, taking a few trees along with you. Well, actually a lot of trees.
We’ve installed this artwork here as memory of the life that used to be.
As they say, “If a tree falls.”
We’re saying that we heard it, we and are doing something about it.”

We hope that the people behind the Treemendous Project next tackle the age-old question of what came first, the chicken or the egg. We look forward to seeing signs for the Eggtastic Project at some point in time.
