Kickstart Crossing The River

Tis the season to be jolly and generous — we hope that you’re feeling both!  We’d like to take a moment of your time to see if you’d like to make a pledge to our friend Emilie McDonald’s Kickstarter campaign.

In short, Emilie is hoping to raise money to make a narrative short film entitled Crossing the River that explores a modern day hate crime.  Emilie says everything you need to know more eloquently and in greater detail in this video than we can with our written word.  So please take a moment to see what it’s all about, and if you can donate, please do!

And if you are still on the fence about making a donation, mull it over.  The pledge process is open until December 20, 2011 at 11:59PM.  And if you can’t donate, please still have yourself a great day.

The Red Light Special

Ten years ago today, America happened to begin bombing the daylights out of Afghanistan, and as luck had it, we happened to make this short satire on the very same day.   Ten years later, you might recognize some of the folks in it, and we hope that you enjoy the film.

Also, um… when can we bring home the troops?

Talk Like A Pirate Day!

Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day!  We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the day than by reposting this Bill Scurry short film where we play the pirate.

Aaaaargh!

The Analysis

We’ve had the absolute luck, pleasure, and fortune to work with once again with Mr. William K. Scurry, Jr. and Ms. Jennifer Sanders for the film short, The Analysis.

We going to go a little Rob Schneider/Adam Sandler here and say that both Scurry and Sanders are flat out geniuses!

Also, if you happen to live in the NYC area, or will be visiting, be sure to stop by the Bowery Poetry Club on Sunday, September 26 (4 to 8:30PM) for a screening, discussion and celebration of Other People’s Houses — a short film by Emilie McDonald with William K. Scurry, Jr.

“When a lonely, struggling single mom searches for a connection with a clique of upwardly mobile moms, she finds that the greatest connection is the one with her daughter.”

Other People’s Houses is a 16-minute short that features the talents of Cynthia King, Joy Marr, Larissa Kiel, Ayesha Ozturk, and Jeff Dickinson among others.

Lastly, if you have the time, please feel free to check out some of the past shorts/films that we’ve been part of by clicking on the new category, Film Shorts.

Say Hello For Me

‘Say Hello For Me’ is the latest comedic short from AmericanCaesar Enterprises.  It was written/directed/edited by Bill Scurry Jr. and stars Noel Dinneen, Jennifer Sanders and us!

It’s brilliant all around!  Bill, Jennifer and Noel did a kick ass job with it!  Enjoy!
