P.S. 264 Gets Bricked

We kept meaning to post an update about the progress happening over at P.S. 264, but other, much less important things kept coming up.  Anyway, there’s good news happening over at the construction site of P.S. 264.

Construction crews have been busy laying in the bricks and setting the windows in place!  We cannot wait to see it finished all perfect, neat, and crisp.

P.S. 264 Goes Pink

Earlier this week we checked up on the construction of Brooklyn’s soon to be P.S. 264 and have found lots having happened in the two months since we last saw it.

We could see a lot of ducts, pipes and cables had been run throughout the building.  Plus the insulation and facade in the process of going up outside.

P.S. 264 Building Blocks

We moseyed along past the construction site of P.S. 264 to see what the happenings were and found that the construction crews have been busy with masonry, by way of building cinder block walls.

“Pretty, pretty, pretty, prettyyyyyyyyyy.”

P.S. 264 Gets Fireproofing

It’s been about a month since we took a look at what was happening over at the site of the new P.S.264 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Good news, it’s still there, and the fire-proofing of the steel beams looks to be about halfway done.

Seeing the construction like this has made us think back to an incident in high school and forced us to ponder the question — Have engineers figured out a way to make toilets and the wastewater pipes M-80 proof?

P.S. 264 Update

We’re really not sure what the heck is going on at Brooklyn’s under construction P.S. 264.

But seeing as how those construction dudes sure do enjoy lounging about in the shade on 89th Street during their break, we can only assume that they’re busy working hard when they’re not on break, doing whatever it is that they do during this part of construction where to the layperson’s eye it appears as though nothing is happening.
