The giant weeping willow that graced the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is no more.
Here it is during happier times.
We noticed the death at the beginning of the Blizzard of 2010, so it wasn’t this past storm that took it out.
We know that the garden had tried to save it several years back, but there must not have been anything else that they could have done to keep it up. Gone is the “secret” spot that it created by the tiny bridge that many either laid out on or read a book at.
Somewhere up in the sky, the man on the moon looks down happily at the man on the tree.
Bromance at its best!
Someone should give this tree a t-shirt that reads, “I survived the winter of 2010.”
If any tree should have fallen from the fierce winds and heavy amounts of snow it should have been this one.
We recently spotted a tree that appears to be in the middle of a severe Indian burn (cough:cough Chinese burn for you crazy Brits!) at the hands of Mother Earth.
We’ll only worry if the dreaded Japanese schoolyard prank, ‘Kancho,’ is seen being purpotraited by Mother Earth.
