State Of The Blog

As the year comes to a close, we’d like to thank all of you for visiting our neck of the internet.  Thanks to those of you who read our blog regularly, started reading our blog this year, have shared a link of ours, reposted content with links of ours, and those of you who simply enjoy looking at the photos that we post.

[Photo taken in New Haven, CT.  We're still perplexed by it.]

All of you have helped Beehive Hairdresser grow into something much bigger than we ever could have imagined when we started this thing way back in 2006.  We’re coming off a year that has had well over 500,000 visits to the site, or, if you like hits, well over 7,000,000 hits to the site.  Thank you for helping those numbers be what they are, and for continually blowing our mind with your visits and participation.

Having said that, we’d like to grow ever more — and YOU can help us, should you care to.

Helping is easy.  You can do any of the following, or not, should you decide to give us up as part of a New Year’s resolution:

  • Keep reading our site, either by way of visiting us at BeehiveHairdresser.com, or by subscribing to our RSS feed.
  • Share plenty of our links on Facebook.  Whether it be something you find brilliant or completely stupid, maybe a friend of yours would think it is as well and you two could gossip about us.
  • Make BeehiveHairdresser.com your homepage — Google how to do it if you have never figured out how to change your homepage — start your day right with Beehive Hairdresser.
  • Use the Alexa toolbar and be the internet.  Users of the Alexa toolbar help create the rank of all of the tens of millions of websites — basically Alexa is to the internet what Nielsen ratings is to television programs.
  • Become a subscriber of Beehive Hairdresser.  This is something completely new for us.  We’d love to have people who truly enjoy what we do here to become subscribers.  Subscribers can sign up to donate cash to us once per month and can donate in the following increments: $1, $5, $10, $20, and $50.  Subscribing will help us do many things with the site, some of which are locate fun ideas for posts and upgrade our camera.

Again, thanks to all of you for your readership and thanks in advance for helping us ring in the new year.

World’s Worst Self Portrait

We unwittingly took the world’s worst self portrait using our iPhone.

It just doesn’t get worse than this…

When Signs Fail

We recently became hooked on Failblog.  The site is hysterical and so when we saw this sign on a glass door we immediately thought of Failblog.

The sign is crazy!  It wants customers to walk through a glass window and then into a display instead of using the door.
