We’re really not sure what the heck is going on at Brooklyn’s under construction P.S. 264.
But seeing as how those construction dudes sure do enjoy lounging about in the shade on 89th Street during their break, we can only assume that they’re busy working hard when they’re not on break, doing whatever it is that they do during this part of construction where to the layperson’s eye it appears as though nothing is happening.
Yesterday afternoon we swung by the construction site of P.S. 264K (for Kings County) and found a much bigger hole in the ground than we expected.
The far off distance goes down deep.
While we do find this hole to be going at an astonishing pace thanks to the help of some giant modern machinery, we can’t help but think that if the Roman Army were around they would have been able to have the entire thing dug out already by manpower alone.
