Perhaps it is the unusually calm waters of the narrows, but this is probably our second favorite photo of the year so far.

Here’s the first pic of the year.
We were pleasantly stunned by the sight of the ice covered boulders lining the Narrows.

With the warmer air temperature it allows for the green to pop off the rocks and for the ice to only be seen from the shady side of things.
It’s probably our favorite photo that we took so far in 2010.
Today would have been the King’s 75th birthday.
Do yourself the favor of enjoying three minutes and 33 seconds of the pure awesomeness that Elvis was live on stage!
His live stuff is where it’s at and if you ever get the chance to, pop on a good long live Elvis album and drive down south over the crazy long Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel.
It’s quite possibly the best and most thrilling way to listen to him live.
This morning the USS New York arrived in the harbor with tons of her bow made from steel recovered from the World Trade Center.
We were there to watch as she pulled in through the Narrows, under the Verrazano Bridge and toward the Statue of Liberty.
