The Volkswagon Bus

When it comes to automobiles, a visit to Argentina is a must.  They have a ton of older model vehicles on the road, along with a ton of newer models.

There’s nothing like the classics.

Bruno Truck Sales Sign

While the Kentile sign in Gowanus gets most of the A-list attention as far as Brooklyn signs go (along with the Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel), there is an oft overlooked sign nearby in the form of the Bruno Truck Sales sign.

A search on Google Image for each sign has Bruno with one photo and the Kentile has a gazillon.  This isn’t a sad case of not what you know but who you know, instead, it’s a case of location location location!

Here’s to you, Bruno, and your wonderful cursive writing!

Cars! Cars! Cars!

These cars are all dressed up and ready to go, but have no one to take them to the dance.

They have nowhere to go but down…

BMW Lievertising

We need to call bull$hit on this tiny BMW advertisement that is directly outside of the Bay Ridge BMW dealership.

Approximately $10 worth of annuals, $1 worth of mulch, and perhaps $2 worth of water over the course of the growing season cannot possibly be more than the cost of maintaining a BMW.

Please BMW, do give us the breakdown of how and why we are wrong for saying that those flowers, or maintaining those flowers, costs more than the cost of maintaining a BMW.

Oh, and the fine print states “Pay nothing.  4 years/50,000 miles.”  In order for that to be true, BMW would have to cover the cost of gasoline for that entire length of time, and BMW isn’t doing that, is it?

The NEW Bay Ridge Volkswagen

Nearly a year and a half after a fire destroyed the building that housed Bay Ridge Volvo, the showroom has been rebuilt, and it has a new tenant, Volkswagen.

This marks the third move of Bay Ridge VW over the past few years.  With 4th Avenue and 90th Street being the new home of Bay Ridge Volkswagen, hopefully it’s the right fit for them.
