We spotted this happy daffodil alive and blowing in the wind in DUMBO, right under the tower of the Manhattan Bridge.

It’s a happy little flower, with a happy bridge that sags and jumps, a happy smoke stack in the back,
Here it is, the loneliest place in Brooklyn, perhaps in all of New York City — aside from the trunk of a car at the Fountain Avenue landfill.

If those walls could talk, they’d weep. WEEP!

We’ve been trying to think of a good nickname for the beautiful, yet very scary, Manhattan Bridge.

We’ve narrowed the choices down to the following:
No matter how shaky, rusty and flat out unsafe the old Manhattan Bridge feels — it seriously feels as though it has a severe case of Parkinson’s disease — it’s still one heck of a beautiful bridge that can frame Manhattan like the best of them.
