Jon Bon Jovi’s Heaven

Last month, Jon Bon Jovi struck down rumors of his death by posting a photo on Facebook of himself in front of a Christmas tree while holding a sign stating that “Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey.”  Well, we went to this Heaven of his, and found that it looked like this.

We call bull$hit on Mr. Jovi’s part, because this is the part of Heaven that’s called Mt. Pleasant Road!!!  All it had was an Italian restaurant, a gas station, and a bunch of aggressive/bad drivers.

Given this as your idea of Heaven, Mr. Jovi… we’d like to ask the question of what Hell looks like to you?  Is the answer Waikiki?

America Part Deux

America is the place where people go to start over, and New York City is the place where people from within America go to start over.  But where do people who are in New York City go to start over?

They flee Manhattan by way of boat, and they go out in search of America Part Deux on the America II, where the are whisked away to the magical land of Jersey City, with hopes of Goldman Sachs and the realization of Colgate…

Epic NYC Sunset

We love the epic nature of a sunset, and the fact that our sunsets have the sun pass over the fumes of the gas refineries in New Jersey — they make for sunsets on steroids, like this one.

While it looks powerful by itself, if you take a closer look, you can see a commercial jet in the cloudline that has just taken off from Newark Airport, having passed in front of the sun.

That jet trail almost looks to be a solar flare — totally awesome.

Framing New Jersey

Sometimes it’s simply better to frame New Jersey when looking at it.

In fact, most times it’s better to frame New Jersey when looking at it.  New Jersey, bleh!

Thong Island, New York

We noticed an addition to one of the New York City subway maps that adorns an R train, Thong Island!

As you can see, Thong Island is a heart shaped island just a little bit west of Liberty and Ellis Islands, but the true distance might not be to scale, and New Jersey is probably going to lay claim to this island too.
