This is “America’s Response Monument”. As you can see, it sits behind a tall fence at the World Trade Center. We aren’t certain as to why it is back there, but maybe it’s because the response that America did not do the best things after being attacked on 9/11? Just maybe…
Anyway, the monument’s base has the MOST wordy piece of information that we’ve ever seen on a monument.
It’s like someone asked “How do we fit ten plus years of savage brutality onto a stone ten foot wide and five feet high?” And then got the answer of “Very tiny letters. Lots of them. But we just won’t mention savage brutality.”
We do not have many words for this scene.
But we think that it is awesome!
Spring is upon us.
It’s that time of year when you should stop and smell an apartment building.
Ever wonder what happens to dogs when they die? Well, we have some sad news for you. They don’t all go to heaven. Some of them, if not most, become plastic bags.
Their tails are what makes plastic bags so good for disposing of dog poop. Such is life…
Late last year, we came across a passive aggressive note at the doorstep of Gawker HQ at 210 Elizabeth Street. Gawker… when it comes to passive aggressive notes, they are just like the crazy (fired) building super in our neighborhood that they covered way back in 2008, minus the bigoted racism.
And oddly enough, this passive aggressive note is doing wonders! That Sunday Times had managed to remain untouched until well past noon.
