Department Of Traffic Sign

We happened to spot this old sign on a new-ish gate at the Surrogate’s Court on Adams Street in Brooklyn.

Despite our 30 years in Brooklyn, we don’t recall ever seeing any signs that were issued by the Department of Traffic — or ever even hearing about the Department of Traffic — so we assumed that this old sign was an ancient relic from Roman times (before the end of the Republic), back when centurions used to block the driveways to the courts with their horses and Germanic slaves.

We can only hope that this sign isn’t up because it has been stuck in probate all these years…  ZING!

*We’ve emailed Kevin Walsh from Forgotten NY who informed us the sign is likely a prior to 1975 sign.

Aging Hearthrobs & A Baby Mama To Invade Bay Ridge

We noticed no parking signs for the CBS pilot of ‘Regan’s Law’ lining Shore Road between about 85th Street and 80th Street in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.  All we know about it is that Reagan’s Law is a drama that revolves around a family of cops.

Several men who once got the ladies in bunches are taking part in the production.

Donnie Walhberg of New Kids on the Block fame should have himself a gaggle of guidettes ranging from their late 20s to mid 30s seeking him out.  While Tom Selleck, a.k.a. Magnum P.I. will likely have ladies ranging from their early 20s and in need of a daddy all the way up to the baby boomers — his facial hair is more powerful than anything known to man.  Lastly,  Len Cariou of ‘Murder, She Wrote’ fame will likely have the geriatric crowd wheeling uphill to fawn over him.

For the dudes and readers of ‘OK!’ magazine, Bridget Moynahan, of Tom Brady baby mama fame will also be starring in the production.  We’re hoping that her character will be the young trophy wife of Len Cariou’s character.

Do Not Park With Love

This is quite possibly the most passive aggressive way to ask a person to not park someplace.

Tell them that you love them, and then sternly say, “NO PARKING.”
