It’s Cinco de Mayo today, so if you’re a 20-something with unchecked alcoholic tendencies, by all means go bananas today.
Not that you need encouragement. Cinco de Mayo is all the excuse you need to binge your life away, which is in addition to the NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs, May baseball, and don’t forget, Mother’s Day!
This shot of the World Trade Center from Brooklyn makes it look as though Manhattan has a new set of Twin Towers — fraternal twins! (1WTC and the Frank Gehry fugly building.)
It’s a trick of the angle of course, but check out how close it looks to this photo we found on Flickr from October 1972 when the real Twin Towers were still under construction.

While down there, we overheard a man on a cellphone saying that he was in DAMNBO, Brooklyn — which if you’re poor and cannot afford a one million dollar apartment, sounds about right. DAMNBO!
