The Royal Wedding

Despite the major news organizations discussing some royal wedding happening across the pond in England today, there’s another royal wedding taking place at Lucky Dog in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Yes, after years of romance, our old pal Rev Jen Jr. (a chihuahua) is set to marry her man, Taco (another chihuahua).

Here’s our very favorite Reverend Jen Miller painting of Rev Jen Jr.  It has either hung up either adjacent to, or directly above us for nearly all of the posts that have ever been written for BeehiveHairdresser.com.

Should you have some dough laying about, and wanted to give them a wedding gift, feel free to donate to Waggytail Rescue, which is a chihuahua rescue that Taco’s mom Holly runs.  Both Rev Jen Jr. and Taco would most certainly appreciate it!

Mozel tov!

Bryant Park’s Skyline

If Bob Ross was into painting urban portraits, we think he definitely would have painted some scenes of the skyline that surrounds Manhattan’s Bryant Park.

“Happy little people reading their books and obtaining knowledge over here.  And people working in a beautiful office over here.”

A DUMBO Mural

We tend to think that inside every photographer is a painter who is dying to burst out.  This is because we feel that people who snap photos of life are the ones who, for whatever reason, don’t or can’t paint.  So, given our love of photography, it should be no surprise that we think that this mural on the side of construction wall is simply stunning.

And yes, we totally wish that we had those painting skills.

A Gloomy George Washington Bridge

Monday morning we caught this shot of the George Washington Bridge in between some rainstorms.

This photo reminds us of a Bob Ross painting — if Bob Ross was to paint a scenic river horizon on a gloomy day and then put a big old ugly bridge in the middle of it.

Buddha Visits Construction Site

Most construction walls are either kept blue or get covered up with fairly lame posters advertising everything from guido clubs to Obama; thankfully there’s a construction site on Atlantic Avenue off of Smith that is much more jolly…

It’s Buddha himself!  All greenish yellow and jolly – although without being able to see the face I can only assume that this is the Buddha of Plentiful Construction.
