A Cat In A Cat Purse

Our kitties are turning into preteens (in cat years).  As such, they’ve been hearing all about dog purses from the dogs that they see passing along on the sidewalk from their perches on the windowsill.  They’ve become fascinated by the whole concept of getting a purse for themselves to get carried around in it.  They’ve even been trying to get a purse to call their own, though they are limited in selection by way of having to choose from whichever purse our wife leaves lying around.

Though the King of Leon thinks he looks great and stylish in that purse, it is obvious that he still needs to master the art of being a cat in a cat purse.

London’s Triangle Tower

While in London, we couldn’t help but notice the new Herzon de Meuron designed triangular tower that is being built on the south side of London.  Though it is definitely an eye catcher and it looks epic.  It also looks WAY out of place.

This second shot is the view of the Triangle Tower from the top of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

It almost looks as if Dubai just pooped out an outcast tower that didn’t fit in over in the Middle East onto London.

TOTAL COOLNESS!!!

Accidental Modern Art On The Subway

This is the scene on the Coney Island bound F and G train platform at 4th Avenue.  Almost every day someone has been tagging something up on the construction wall, and then the next day someone from the MTA or a subcontractor has been coming around and painting over said tag.  It’s wonderful modern art!

As such, the Museum of Modern Art should buy up these three panels and install them into their permanent collection.  An anonymous collective of painters is always intriguing, plus tourist will just assume that it’s a Picasso or a Warhol.

Barclays Center May 2012

It’s been a while since we took a peek at the Barclays Center at the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic Avenue.  Right now it looks as though it is an alien ship out of Independence Day.

We can’t wait for it to open up so that the entire area around it can turn into an illustrious neighborhood similar to the one that surrounds Madison Square Garden (hardy har har)… at least the circus will actually be coming town in 2013!
