While a lot of people might think that the Gingerbread House is the best and most unexpected house to find in Brooklyn we have a soft spot for this nearby home.
While the $12,000,000 Gingerbread House is too complicated for us to be meaningful; this home is much more simple and charming…and that’s what is so great about it.
It is evident that the clocks that adorn the old Williamsburg Savings Bank don’t seem to appreciate being called clocks of ‘One Hanson Place’ and as such they are acting out in rebellion.
On Saturday night the view from Pacific Street had one of the clocks reading 9:10 and another reading 7:25 — the actual time of day was about 8:45.
One would think that a building with million dollar condos and rentals that go for $4,900 a month would be able to keep the historic clocks working properly, but then again, money can’t buy everything!
Or is it that the rich can no longer afford to keep the clocks running properly?
