Papa Paparazzi

Earlier this week, we strolled north along 6th Avenue in the Village, and happened to glance into the sidewalk cafe of Da Silvano’s restaurant to see if we could spot a celebrity eating there.  We didn’t spot anyone, but in doing so, we unwittingly spoiled the shot of many a paparazzi.  They were all aiming for the perfect shot of someone who we missed in front of our eyes, Mr. 300 himself, and one of our penis cousins – Gerard Butler!  (To be fair, that dude has like a gazillion penis cousins – just ask TMZ.)

Mr. 300 is rear and center of this second photo, directly behind the man with the white hair.  We’ll stick to our day job – we’d make terrible paparazzi.

The Great iPhone Mystery!

We’re not quite sure how we did it, or even if we did it, but somehow the camera on our iPhone snapped a photo of the second page of our iPhone apps.  Whatever the case may be, it’s a mystery to us.

That said, seeing the iPhone screen in photo form instead of on the iPhone screen makes us imagine that the image would look rather nice hanging on the wall of some NYU kids dorm in the form of a poster — a poster that kids could buy at Spencer Gifts or the many smoke shops of the Village for about 20 bucks.

RIP Corey Haim

TMZ is reporting that Corey Haim, the HAIM, has been found dead this morning from an apparent drug overdose.

We loved watching him in ‘License to Drive’ and ‘Fast Getaway’ when we were growing up, so much so that we used to do a Corey Haim impression back in our stand-up days.  That said, the dude also cut an album in 1995 and it was VERY 1995.

Thankfully, someone made a video of the HAIM dancing to his own song which is one of those things that just keeps on getting better the longer you watch the video.

Asa lama lakum, Haim.

Roethlisberger

If you’ve been paying any mind to TMZ this weekend you’ve noticed that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been all over it.

The dude is being Roethlisbergered, which is his second time being Roethlisbergered!

At least this mosaic of the Roethlisberger family name that hangs in Tribeca will never be Roethlisbergered.
