It’s Complicated!

We once received a critique about a scene that we acted in as being “too complicated to be meaningful.”  It was a critique that the reviewer himself had received about 30 years prior with regard to a masterpiece of music that he wrote.

We don’t think that the “it’s too complicated to be meaningful” statement resonates with this photo from the Red Hook waterfront.  The complications are the meaning of the photo.

55 Furman Street

We found the stars, old advertising on top, fire escapes, windows, and bricked over windows of 55 Furman Street to be fascinating.

Enjoy!

Best & Worst NYC Windows

We find it oddly fitting that the best and worst windows in New York City are across the street from one another along the West Side Highway, near Chelsea Piers.

Unfortunately the worst window treatment in NYC blocks and covers up most of the best window treatment that the city has to offer.

Brooklyn’s White Van Of Mystery

When you were a little kid your mom & dad probably told you to stay away from strangers and strange vans, but they said nothing about taking photos of said things!

We have no idea what’s going on with this van.

While it appears to have been freshly parked on the street like any other vehicle, a closer look would show off the hose coming out of a window that is neatly tied down around to apparently empty into a bucket beneath the van.  You can see that there’s a ladder, some piping and some mystery bag atop the van.

Lastly, there appears to be some electrical wiring strung up over the tree limb that leads down to the van.

Oh…lest we not forget the creepy tinted windows…creepy!
